On 4/8/18 between 2100 and 2200 hrs. a newer model Chevrolet crew cab pickup (Silver) with chrome tubular step bars is seen on security camera taking a box trailer from 2025 Old Natchitoches Rd. There are at least two subjects in the truck, but due to the distance of the security cameras no identification could be made. The trailer is described as an 18’ round nose box trailer with large “Orowheat Bread” decals with loaves of bread on the sides. The rear of the trailer also has the “Orowheat Bread” decals, and has a one piece fold down door. The trailer has been entered into NCIC.
Earlier on the same date, from the same location, a 7’x25’ enclosed trailer was taken and later recovered at the new “Walk Ons” construction site where a large welding machine was taken. During the theft of this trailer, a flatbed four door Ford truck was seen on security footage taking the trailer. Det. Paul Blunschi with WMPD (who is currently investigating the theft of the welding machine) was able to obtain surveillance footage from Golden Coral of the newer model Chevrolet suspect truck with the Orowheat Bread trailer entering the construction site during the time of the theft of the welding machine. Any information in reference to possible suspect identification, or the location of the stolen “Orowheat Bread” trailer would be greatly appreciated.
